From the time of the Battle of Hastings in 1066 this little town on the southeast coast of England - Hastings provides a great day out for the family.

Travelling on the A2 from London, you pass some lovely country lanes lined with trees which are so dense that a sunny day can appear like dusk.

Hastings has a lovely feel as you walk through the old town and see the wonderful example of Tudor houses. There many things to do on a day trip include mini or crazy golf at a cost of £3.50 per player, go-kart rides, boating and a fun fair. Then there’s the underwater world, and for a bit of culture, Hastings Castle (admission £3.5, plus £1 for the funicular). There are also many restaurants to choose from, the majority are fish and chips or seafood stands, and the best way to end the day is a visit to a lovely traditional pub; dark, dusty, and cosy (aka small).
