I had a feeling too....

As soon as you said you were from Cali and in San Antonio, i suspected military as well. I wanted to guess airforce since there are so many bases down there, but I didn't want to throw that out there untill i knew you were military.

I was at DLI while I was down there.... I'm enlisted, E4, and I was there Dec. 00 to Oct. 01. Oh, and Russian. So.... I think that about covers it.

Now that that is out of the way, let us never speak of it again.

Sorry, I forget sometimes....

I think I have the slowest internet connection on the face of the planet here... literally. I'm not sure that this thing would have been able to handle chat even if your's could have. I do not have any other chat provider since I'm using a work computer.

Speaking of work, that is what brought me to California both times. I try not to speak of it but since I feel it's on the way, I'll just go ahead and blurt out the embarassing truth and tell you that I'm in the Marines.

About Arizona- I did spend 6 months in Seirra Vista as well. I know a few places to visit but mostly the pretty obvious ones. Grand Canyon, Sedona, Flagstaff for the ski resorts. I'm not sure which one is the best cause I've never been snowboarding in Arizona, but I could find out cause I have a friend from Flagstaff.

Thanks for the good tidings. We'll need all the help we can get. My freind tends to get himself into some tight spots.

Me again,

Just so you know, I told him I was going to give you his adress before I wrote you and he said he's willing to help.

So I'm curious, what are you doing in San Antonio if you're from So Cal? College? I know a few people who have been living down there for a couple years and they don't seem to like it too much, I wonder why you would leave Cali for it.

I lived in Monterey for a year and 6 months in the San Diego area, and I love that state. I would almost rather be there than home during the winter..... almost. I do HIGHLY recommend snowboarding especially if you plan on settling in California. There are some great resorts there, epecially in Tahoe.

Hello,

I have a freind who is living in England who may be able to help you out with your trip planning. I didn't wan to put the adress in the forum room since it's not mine but here it is: spudturner@hotmail.com. He's the outdoorsy, backpacking type so if you write him directly he'll probably be able to give you some good pointers. Just tell him I said he'd be able to help.

It's too bad you don't snowboard or I'd ask you to blow off England and go to the Alps. Anyway, good luck with your trip. Hope you have a good time.
