The English Harbour Town of Antigua is famous for Nelson's Dockyard. It is full of historical and grand buildings, which look stupendously among palm trees. The docks’ silhouettes appear frozen in time, as if they decided to not change after Horatio Nelson’s departure in the 18th century. However, they still receive hosts for visits of a different kind of vessels, mainly yachts these days.

The surroundings look surreal, as if is a film set or an open-air ethnographic museum. Even the iconic red phone booth managed to land here all the way from across the Atlantic Ocean.

There are a number of restaurants, pubs and clubs in English Harbour Town, many of which are very lively and offer value for money beverages and meals. Horatio Nelson's former house is now a hotel, called the Admiral's Inn, and it is alleged to have been visited by Madonna and Guy Richie. [edit text]  [editors]
