An old reliquia hanging on your neck!'s by antonioagui

Muang Sing - Laos, Louangnamtha In one of the many villages dotted around Muang Sing I found this little boy. The tradition in the area is to protect childs from the moment they are born with an amulet, which is inherited from father to son and so passing on from one generation to the other. This boy was carrying in his neck, as you will see if you zoom in the picture, an old coin dated from the times of the French Indochine!
