I could understand why... it's pretty difficult to learn a language that has a large majority of its words not related to words of another laguage... (e.g. English). Tried that before, my mind just went on overdrive memorising single words!... Let alone the sentence structure and grammar.. (But as you already know, Malay is already simplistic in its sentence structure..)
Couldn't but help but notice you speak Malay as one of your languages... It's not so often to come across a caucasian that speak it. Do you do a lot of travels to Malaysia?
