I am currently organising a trip to Vietnam so that's another option as well. The only other thing you don't mention is when as I would suggest you take into account the weather monsoon time in Asia is not a great when travelling. I went to both places last year and it was incredible, each country is so different. The cambodian jungle was amazing and Angkor really topped off the journey. Depending on what you like doing maybe even Malaysia and Singapore are possibliites. It might be a good option as you can combine some shopping with a beach holiday.
