Saudi tourist visa - any changes expected?

SA embassy informed that they do noy issue tourist visas - means they do not want tourists in their country. Do you know any tricks to get this visa anyway? So I will try to transit Saudi Arabia going from Yemen to Jordan. Does anybody know about timetable and price of the long distance buses (Saudi company) running the route Sana - Riyadh and Riyadh - Aqaba or Amman?... For such amount of money (if I'll save it) I will go around the world... I am the backpacker. I got award ticket to Sana and from Amman and now I want to cross Saudia by public bus. I do not know if they will issue transit visa in Sana - I play "va banque" trying my luck... Bus company has website - but they do not response e-mails, of course.
