Hi, I can really recommend Hanoi Hilton and the Equatorial Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam (rooms are large and very modern). The Indra Regent in Bangkok is also very good. I stayed in the Kowloon Hotel in HKG.

While you are in Hanoi be sure to make the trip (although) it is a long trip to Halong Bay. You could perhaps try to get a booking on a boat that provides one night accommodation. Also be sure to take a trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta. It is very enlightening and I ate elephant fish for the first time in my life! Also visit Cu Chi Tunnels (1hr 45min n/w of HCMC) and the Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh (nw of Cu Chi and close to Cambodian border). Cao Dai, with its All Seeing Eye symbol was formed by combining the religious philosophies of Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Islam. It really is worth a visit. In HKG be sure to take a sampan boat trip in the harbour area. You must definitely try to visit Lei Yue Mun Seafood Village. This was an experience of note walking through many stalls selling different varieties of fish and other seafood, the likes of which I have never seen before. You buy what you fancy and take it to any restaurant where they will cook it for you.

In HKG head to central-mid-levels escalator, which is 800m long and world’s longest covered outdoor escalator and carries about 40,000 people per day. There are trendy bars, coffee shops and restaurants along the escalator. The escalator is broken into different sections. It even goes around corners and takes one up the mountain. It is a form of transport for the people that live in the sky-scrapers alongside it. We must have used about 10 different sections to the top. Ocean Park in HKG is also a must-see! BKK is a shoppers paradise and there are lots of markets, night markets and weekend markets such as Chatuchak where you can even buy monkeys! Hope you have a lovely holiday. My e-mail is juli@cfnorth.co.za should you require more information. Rgds

Save heaps by booking early !! I have 12 tickets between Macau and Singapore all @ USD 6.10 each (excluding airport tax).

When you are travelling around Southeast Asia, South China and India, check out these sites and book early.

P/S : I don't work for these airlines !!
