Cradle Mountain is a part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. It is one of two starting points for the famous Overland Track (the other being Lake St. Clair) The Overland Track is essentially a wilderness walk of 6 days, winding its way through the Northern end of the Cradle Mountain – Lake St. Clair National Park.
