Classic Innsbruck

This beautiful alpine city is set on the Inn River and in a very long valley overlooked by high mountains either side and extremely picturesque. Unique in Europe is the small city square, one of the houses overlooking this square has balcony rooving of gilt roof tiles, known as "Goldenes Dach".

A super base for winter sport - the city hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games.
