Isla Mujeres is a small island off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula just north of Cancun. The island has a distinct Caribbean vibe and is very colourful and vibrant. During the day it is often overrun with day trippers from Cancun, but early mornings are great to discover the island in peace and quiet and the light for photography is perfect.
