Copacabana is a small town located on the southern peninsula of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The area is rich with culture and can be experienced by visiting some of the islands dotted around.
Copacabana lends its name to the famous Brazilian beach in Rio when an image of the Virgin was found here in the 19th Century; but it is a nice place to spend the day, strolling through the streets or walking along the shores of the lake. [edit text][editors]
