The Okavango originates in the highlands of Angola and flows across the sand plains of Botswana until reaches the Kalahari Desert where it just disappears. The Okavango creates the only inland delta in the world and provides a place in its many lagoons, rivers and channels for a myriad of animals to find food and water. The flood plains are very fertile and tall palms and trees can be found on the edges. As the water level drops it becomes and ideal place to view the game. [edit text][editors]
