Bagan also known as Ancient Bagan is the site of several thousands ie 13,000 of pagodas that stood in the glory days of Burma. Now, only about 2,000 pagodas remain whilst many have been ruined.

This site is best explored on a horse cart and hot air balloon flight across the Bagan plains.
