Bamenda, the centre of the anglophone Cameroon, and the capital of the opposition party, is the main base for the trips along the famous Ring Road. There is not that much to see in the city itself, apart from the Up Station, a former seat of the German garrison and fort and now seat of the military and therefore most of it is off limits for visitors.
