Hi,
I went there some years ago, flew into Fairbanks, did a Riverboat Tour auf dem Chena and Tanana River, took a flight to Prudhoe Bay and Point Barrow to the oilfields, at that time one had to take food, which was not provided for, went back to Fairbanks, took the train to Denali Park, highly recommended, therewas a bus gioing through the park which let you off to go for a hike and picked you up afterwards, there are also guided tours, went to Anchorage, to have a look around, i.e. at the jade staircase in one of the hotels, went by train to Whittier to go ba boat to Valdes, made a stop in Cordoba, went to Whitehorse by sightseeing Bus and by Greyhound over the Alaska Highway, went to Skagway by train, most recommended, visited the old graveyard from the Goldrush times and from there too Juneau, where I made a trip to Glacier Bay by boat, I took a small one, the captain was a character, Glacier Bay at that time was overwhelming whether it still is impressive I do not know because in the meantime the glaciers have melted considerably. From there I went by boat South to Seattle with stops in Sitka, the old Russian town, Petersburg, Wrangell, Ketchikan. A very exciting journey, did it in five weeks.
