I had a question, there are a few of us ladies over 40 that want to go to the beach, the second week of May and have never been down to the Gulf Side, just wondering if there is any advice for which beach is best We are looking at Pensacola Beach, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beach,

also was wondering about the beaches around Biloxi Mississippi. Could anyone out there help us out. We are from Missouri and just what a nice beach without kids or husbands!!

Thanks!!!

Hello, I don't know much about the northern Florida beaches, as I've never been to any, however there are many nice beaches in the St.Petersburg/Clearwater area. My personal favorites are Sand Key Beach and Treasure Island, both of which are a bit south of Clearwater Beach and are much nicer (in my opinion), as well as less crowded and largely unvisited by tourists. Sand Key Beach is particularly secluded since it is the southernmost beach in that area and it is actually a park as well . If you would like to venture even further south (down by the Ft. Myers area),

you will find Sanibel and Captiva Island to be absolutely beautiful. Well, good luck on your search and enjoy your stay in Florida!
