Traveling to NYC and to Niagara Falls

I looked for some hostels on the internet but I didn't find many. Does anybody know some cheep hostels/motels were I could to stay there. Depending on the time if year you go, you must do the Maid of the Mist tour. Its really cool, as you get right-up under the falls. Remember to wear your waterproofs. Thank you for the message. I was planning to go travel October-November 04. Maybe not the best time to go (no high seson), but I thought that if I travel to NY than why not see as much as possible.
