Located in the centre of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Kelowna is the heart of Western Canada’s fruit and wine industry. Apples, peaches, and grapes grow in abundance in the mild climate of this valley. Of interest to many people is the supposed existence of Ogopogo, a creature similar to the Loch Ness monster that is said to inhabit Lake Okanagan. In the summer, Lake Okanagan is a popular beach resort. In the winter, there is skiing in the nearby mountains. [edit text][editors]
