Niagara at the Canadian side

The Niagara River is sourced from Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, which creates Niagara Falls. It consists of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls, and is one of the world’s largest hydroelectric suppliers.

Many stories are told of people going over the edge in a barrel, but the best way to experience it up close is to take a journey on board the ‘Maid Of The Mist’ or one of the many boat tours. These tours go under the falls and it is advisable to wear waterproofs as you get incredible wet. You also get a chance to go behind the falls and listen to the roar of the 168k cubic metres of water which fall every minute. It is wonderful experience!

A day in Niagara is very enjoyable; taking a helicopter ride, visiting one the many parks, or going to the casino. In order to fully enjoy this spectacle, you must stay there until evening to watch the falls illuminated or catch the fireworks display during the summer months. [edit text] [editors]
