nice pictures, we were certainly there at different times of the year. and totally different perspectives on the city. what makes these photo sharing sites so informative and enjoyable.

thanks for visiting my berlin material, more to come. sadly, many of the pictures were on an older camera and don't have resolution good enough for the site. berlin has sooooo much, the one city in europe we would revisit if we could only pick one. seems everywhere one turns, something new and off the beaten track. we could easily spend another week there, fabulous place.

Hi Chris, thanks for your message, I have come to terms with my partial sight problem, there is no cure, the stroke I suffered destroyed too much of the optic cortex to recover, I am by no means blind, I just see in a different way now, driving is banned and walking in traffic or busy areas is a bit dangerous, but life goes on, many people are far worse off than me, Enjoy life friend, Cheers, Tony.

hi, chris - thanks for your visits to boca and las vegas pics. i took the opportunity to check out some of your berlin pictures, fond memories, one of our most favorite cities in germany. absolutely amazing what has been created from what was once berlin and a city with amazing history and museums/culture. we spend hours in the old master's museum and loved the pergamon as well.

backlit bars are the new " in thing " in american restaurant design. i have another from a place in florida i shall post on here eventually. glad you liked the one in the mandarin oriental. i was taken by one sentence in your comment. you obviously have been on this site far longer than i and know a lot more about its inner workings. unlike other sites, content seems less important here than picture quality and technique. i did not realize that image ratings were reviewed by judges for appropriateness. strange, but it is their site and their policy i guess. have a good week. n.

hi, chris and thanks for visiting my alligator friend and his warning sign. gators are frequent enough in south florida that i have stopped taking pictures of them, although i have one or two other pictures on another site. on the day in question, we saw another one about 300m away snoozing on the bank like this one. the most we have ever seen in this particular area is three in one day although there are apparently about five or six that live near this pond ( on a golf course ).

but this was indeed a once in a lifetime shot, and as my wife screamed about what an idiot i was, i ran over, got two pictures, and turned tail quickly.

noted from your guestbook that you liked berlin as much as we. on our visit, the cupola of the reichstag was open, wonder why they closed it. berlin is truly an amazing city.
