Earlier I wrote a comment about your report on Abilene, suggesting that perhaps you did not fully appreciate its charms. Well, I was talking to a friend, and she asked if I had ever been there. When I said no, she said, "Liz, you don't understand... if you come from somewhere with excitement and culture, going to somewhere like that, it's like a cultural wasteland -- there's just nothing there, especially if you don't have a car."
So, I stand humbly corrected, and I apologise for making the judgement without knowing the situation. I really appreciate the way you honestly share your experiences. Bravo!
