Vietnam is a diverse culture struggling to bring itself into the modern world, yet not quite escaping the grasp of its turbulent past. It's a country that shouldn't be missed by those looking for something unique both culturally and historically.
I travelled from Hanoi to Saigon over 4 weeks and saw some wonderfully beautiful and often bizarre sites. I experienced poverty, richness, but most of all a strength in the Vietnames people that made it clear they would persevere no matter what hardship they face.
