This is one of those dream places. Marvão itself is a gorgeous hilltop town with a splendid castle on the very top. I think this must be the nearest accommodation to the castle, certainly at the same level. Good English is spoken and, crucially at this height in winter, the central heating is good. There is no fuss but everything necessary is there. A fine breakfast. The photo is the view from my bedroom window.
