Hotel de France
It is a budget option, but it will still cost you about €45 per night! Some rooms are better than others, so see a few if you can. My room (no.5) was really untidy, almost as if it was under construction. I did not mind the bedroom or the living room downstairs, but the bathroom was truly awful. I peeped into room no.6 and it looked so much better!! The hotel's location is good though - close to the European Quarter. more
Le Paradis (Chez Darar)
Mr Darar has a lovely place. It is unpretentious, within a simple garden. Plastic chairs and tables, but the owners provide a table cloth. The menu features mainly fish in four different options - with sauce, with green beans, with green peas, or without. It is cheap! Oh, and the fresh juices are superb! Meals under €1! more
Dolphin Excursions
There's not too much to see and do around Djibouti but there's still something to explore like lake Assal, swim with dolphins, scuba diving, ride camels, etc ... Well organized and multilingual staff. more
La Caravane du Sel
They organize excursions in camels to the Valley of the Rift and the depression of the Asal Lake (153 metres under the sea level, the deepest in Africa) surrounded by dead volcanoes, to the Denakil area to see the nomad affar tribes, diving, etc. more
