Statue of Simpson and his donkey's by downundergal

Canberra - Australia, Australian Capital Territory Simpson is well known to Australians as a heroic stretcher bearer at Gallipoli in WW1. He transported the injured from Shrapnell Gully to to Anzac Cove from the 25th of April until his death in the middle of May. This statue is found near the entrance of the War Memorial.

For us Gallipoli marked the forging of our nation and is still remembered every April.
