Aswan is the southernmost city in Egypt, home to the darker skinned Nubians. Narrowly situated along the Nile, it is a picturesque city and this is where you will see the Nile River dotted with feluccas, floating restaurants, and cruise ships.

Main attractions are:-
1. Aga Khan Mausoleum
2. Temple of Philae
3. Unfinished Obelisk
4. High Dam and Lake Nasser
5. Nubian Village
6. Colourful Aswan Markets
7. Elephantine Island
8. Kitchner Island

A must do in Aswan is to catch a 35mins flight to Abu Simbel to see the massive beautiful Temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari which was relocated after the construction of the High Dam which led to the creation of the world's largest artificial lake - Lake Nasser. [edit text]  [editors]
