information about thailand  Kamphaeng PhetThailand, Kamphaeng Phet
This Sukhothai period (13th - 14th century) fort is adorned with Elephants. The elephants themselves were restored in 1910 and have had some touch up since then but they are a delight to behold. The Elephants were originally carved from laterite stone and covered in stucco. When they were restored, the stucco was replaced with cement. Most have lost their delicate trunks but this guy was intact!
