Chicalero marks on a Gum Tree's by eirekay

El Tintal - Guatemala, Petén For several centuries Chicaleros collected gum sap from Chickle trees by striking V shaped gashes into the bark with machetes. The sap would then trickle down into a cowhide container. We saw similar marks on rubber trees.
