El Tintal - Guatemala, Petén Our trek would take us 132km over 6 days, and one of those was spent simply exploring ruins with no travel mileage. It would be impossible to carry all the water and food needed for that period of time. We had 4 mules and a muleteer on a small horse, as well as a jungle guide and a Mayan guide.
