Emerald Bay Campground

information about united-states  South Lake Tahoe - United States, California

Nothing beats this camp ground for beauty - this is the view from our campsite, once you look over the dreadful RV! Campsites are well spaced and there are communal showers as well as okay toilets. Cheap at $20 per campsite. There is also Boat Camp - you can park your power boat or sail boat and walk-in to the campground. Several beaches line the shores. Emerald Bay also has Vikingsholm Castle and Fannette Island with a tiny castle. Granite Lake, Eagle Falls and Cascade Falls all have trailheads from Emerald Bay, making it a great backpacker's camp ground.

Reserve EARLY - the website has dates by which to make reservations. These fill up, but of you watch the website, you sometimes can get last minute cancellations!
