This was taken near the famous Golden Dragon Restaurant, where in the late 70's or early 80's, there was some sort of Chinese Triad gang shooting. Besides checking out the interesting Chinese-influenced architecture and local color along with eating dim sum or fresh Chinese-style seafood (followed by freshly-baked almond cookies or fortune cookies), most visitors will spend a lot of time browsing through the myriad gift shops, especially along Grant Street. The kids will no doubt enjoy the various toys and colorful knick-knacks on display in bins placed in front of the stores. The adults will no doubt get a kick out of the small ceramic erotic statues depicting chinese couples in traditional dress (artfully raised or pulled back to to leave no doubt as to what's going on, with at times a suprising level of detail given to the genitalia) 'coupled' in pretty much any sexual position that readily comes to mind. The Caton Bazaar gift shop (616 Grant Ave.) is definitely worth checking out.
