The genesis of the restaurant's name was an incident in which numerous ducks from a nearby paddy field decided to seek shelter from a storm in the place prior to its decoration and opening, leaving myriad muddy webbed foot prints in their wake. Their signature dish, bebek bengil crispy duck, is very tasty and is one of the reasons why both tourist and locals alike flock to the place. As with most restaurants in Ubud, it is open-air (ask for a citronella candle to keep the mosquitoes at bay), with a combination of Western and low Tatami-styled tables.
