We are sending postcards using photos from members collections...
On the preview of the postcard there is a name of the author.
OK. But my friend recognized that on the real postcard she got the name of the author dissapeared. I checked this and she is right. It is an error and it is against the author's law: at any form of publication of the picture there should be name of the author (unless she/he declared he does not want it)

I will do some tests and come back on this. I also think the photographer should get a credit by the mention of the nickname on the postcard. Since we are a community all the pictures really belong to all of us. This is meantioned in Terms and Conditions. I would be againt the photographers name be plastered all over the picture like the GLOBO mark is already but a meantion of the source is extreamly important.... will be adding.... --- Rudolf "Rangutan" Graspointner

It is not a joke. Since two weeks I am waiting for
the reaction of GS administrator...
I do not want my pictures to be send as a postcard
without signature of the author...
I think there are also others GS members
who know the author'slaw and think the same...

I don't like watermarks and webadresses in pictures. The photographs at GLOBO are shown in such a relatively low resolution that there is no such copy protection needed. As to a photographers name, one can easily write this in the text field if one wishes. That is a temporary/alternative solution but Wojtek is right, eventually the URL (source path) or at least the firstname or nickname should appear somewhere on the postcard. Just please, not IN the picture.
Iv'e sent some cards out now asking for return tests too. I notice that in the preview of the postcard there is a reference to the photographer underneath the picture. This link doesnt work though giving the error "PAGE NOT FOUND" :- ( Staff please help!

Hi There
in the preview window before we send the card there is this text:
This image belongs to rangutan's gallery. and rangutan is linked
(rangutan stands for any membernickname)
On the page that shows the postcard above text is missing.
I'm sure there's a small bug somewhere...
Thanks for looking into it

Hello everybody,
this is a function error. The credit line is ment to be the same as the one inside the preview. So don't worry it will be fixed. However please do have a look at the GLOBO intern forum. Fixing date will be after March 7th. as this is not a critical bug.
Best regards,
Andy

Hello everybody,
the error has been corrected. It was due to translation error within the german website of GLOBO. The system could not find the english translation belonging to this text passage.
Best regards,
Andy
