I thought I would find out if any others from my small town of Todmorden were members. I was surprised to 'learn' that we have 1077 members in Todmorden and to be told to tighten my search - so I narrowed it [initiallly, as I thought] to male members. For Germany the system works, it even has a provice/state option. I notice this field is missing for the UK and could be the problem, suppose all countries would need to be tested eventually... That was just checking, not very important to me, but hoped staff would fix that sometime in the future... ...I was showing a potential new member the features of GLOBO and he is very impressed with the services and community. Pictures from his travel targets are well represented and impressive. As example to the diversity and hometown of members I also showed him the "search members" tool: a bit embarassing though was that there are members from the outback small villages called "Egypt" and "Tahiti" in South Africa that speak arabic and french but not english or afrikaans! Curious, they do exist but just as a cluster of holdings. Also, a right-mouse-click to ALL listed members in the "search members" databank takes one to the "goody.c" member-page! Since 50% of registered members just come-and-go I was wondering if the "relevance" option rather be orientated on contribution/activity/last-login??? Active members please check/test this feature for your area/state/country (do remember to use the "mandatory" click function) and also please comment or report findings to staff. Im open, but if this feature/tool doesnt work properly it should either be improved, simplified, (or perhaps for privacy eventually) removed? ... Now this works again. Thank you for pointing it out. If you are looking for members comming only from a specified city, than you have to check the mandatory field, Otherwise it will be sorted after relevancy.
