Problem with personal picture gallery

I'd like to upload some more pics but don't want to upload duplicates. Most likely the counter on the right site does also count the removed one's. Let me please know if this is possible. It will help me to find a quick fix for it. The Picture page alone shows 12 photos from Waterton. I'm sure it has nothing to do with deleting photos, because this problem doesn't show up in other places I've deleted photos, like Shanghai for example, which shows 27 pics and actually displays them all.
