It may sound daft but that's its name! A huge sculpture opened today - put it in your favourite search engine if your news doesn't cover it.

Apparently it's controversial but I think it's terrific in both senses.

David

I watched the B.......of the.......BANG! being unveiled with a real bang tonight around 6.30pm amidst a great firework display. This huge spiky metal sculpture dominates Manchester City. However the bang was earlier overshadowed when one of the 180 welded spikes snapped off and fell to the ground causing both a bang and the closing of a local road reported the TV!

The B...of the...BANG is a controversial sculpture - but all sculptures are meant to be controversial as well as both thought and comment provoking. I agree I like it and, it is huge, even being bigger than the Angel of the North, is set to keep all visitors to one of the UK's finest cities talking.

Cheers!

Well done - I wish I had seen it! I was watching the finals of the Commonwealth Games that it celebrates - a fabulous evening's entertainment.

Best wishes

Im sorry guys , I dont share your enthusiasm. I think there are far better ways to spend 1.8 MILLION pounds to benefit a city!! On the other hand... it does look pretty damnd cool, all spikes ...its just like my hair...... but bigger!!!!
