Hi Globies!

I will be probably forced to make a stopover in Madrid

on my way to Africa. Could you recommend any budget

accommodation in the centre of town close to inexpensive

transport to Barajas airport?

Greetings!

Wojtek

Hi Globies!

I just returned from Madrid so I can recommend you:

the best backpacker choice is:

Los Amigos Hostel

Campomanes 6 4th floor - 100 m from "Opera" subway station.

www.losamigoshostel.com

They charge 15 euro per nite, sheets and light

breakfast included. And you can use the kitchen...

Good deal! Book via internet in advance!

If your going in a small group i recommend getting a rental apartment instead, ours was about 30 euro each a night but much more cosy than sharing dorm rooms and your own front room.

we made up the difference by cooking supermarket-bought dinners anyway.
