I plan to go to edinburgh and catch a sleeper train back to london at23:40 from Waverley. I understands the shops will be closed at 5Pm but I dont want to go to any play or to the pubs, any idea? i would like to see a scottish dance or evening but can not find one.

Hi Flora, this all depends a little on when you plan to go - e.g. you have the Edinburgh festival taking place shortly with all kinds of events aside from Plays etc. I would not assume shops will all close at 5pm - much more like 6-7pm and there is always plenty to do along the lines you are asking. I would try one or two of the sightseeing companies - such as www.edinburghtour.com - to look for scottish dance evenings etc. Have fun !

Hi! I have just read your message. There must be some Scottish evenings organized during Fringe Festival. I went to Edinburgh a few years ago and I went to some Scottish dancing parties! Very funny!

If you have alreday went to Edinburgh and you are back home now, please tell me how your trip was. I am very interested to find things about Scotland!

Enjoy your travels!
