This posting seems to have attracted little notice from Globo members. It is a bit surprising when we reflect on the importance of Rome as a travel destination. The article for the first time has made me realise the significance of the Lupercalia festival in the Romam calendar.

On a more blasphemous note, our iconic writer James Joyce once remarked that Rome reminded him of a fellow who made his living by showing off his grandmother's skeleton. The spending od 17.7m may give the lie to this thought
