I have been suggested by the local travel agents, Hotel Flora in Lucerne. However, I am reading on the Internet with recommendations are varying dramatically between negative to positive.

I am looking for a clean and decent accomodation for 3 nights starting 20th Apr in Lucerne; with my wife and 4 year daughter.

Any suggestions or remarks?

Thanks, Kiran

Hi Kiran

I have never slept in the Hotel Flora in Lucerne but I have been to the night club which is in the hotel but thats looooooooong time ago.

What I can tell you is that it's perfectly situated near to the train and boat station also close to the old town and the sights...

I don't know what kind of hotel you would like, to me it sounds rather expensive I would try to get into something smaller cosyer like a two or perhaps three star hotel...

I just had a quick look at the www.luzern.org website and found these two hotels which seem quite good and reasonably priced.

www.goldener-stern.ch

www.hotelalpha.ch

Anyway it really depends on what standards you like but I would try to save on hotel rates because you basically just sleep in the room and spend your days and nights on the streets....

Hope this helps

Martin

Hello Martin,

Thanks very much for the advise. I will go through the links and find a suitable one for my family.

Hello Martin,

I got an offer price of USD 552 (@USD 138 per night) for 4 nights incl breakfast + taxes in Flora from voyagenow.com. Seems like a good deal when I look at the prices from other sites.

I am contemplating between this one and the others from lucerne.org now

Regards, Kiran

Hi Kiran

138$ per night is not too bad, you could get a lot cheaper but it wouldn't be as sophisticated or as good situated as hotel flora.

It's really up to you.
