Igoumenitsa!

zizou Joined: Oct 06 Points: 4 Posts: 1 Posted: 2006-10-23 21:50:00    Hi, I am wanting to travel to igoumenitsa, a town on the north west coast of greece, close to the island of corfu. I am wondering if anyone can help me with the best way to get there. I know the obvious route of a flight from Britain to corfu and then on the ferry across, but it seems so expensive. I am sure there must be a cheaper way of travelling there, maybe to athens and the an internal flight.....or even flying to another european destination and then another flight to corfu....has anyone any help or advice on this? Has anyone ever done something similar, any recommended routes or airlines? If you fly to Athens I don't know about internal flights, but you can take a train up to Thesaloniki, and a bus from there to Igoumenitsa, which takes like 4-5 hours and costs 30 euros (one way) Hope to be of any help! best wishes! --- Travelling is the only way to learn what neither books nor teachers will ever be able to explain Reply    Reply with quote    Contact antonioagui
