Hi I am from the united states. I am a first time traveler going abroad to visit my fiancee' in belguim. He has always come here to US to see me. I know what i need to go there. I know I need a valid passport, proof of suffient funds, and return ticket. The problem is who do you give the proof of suffient funds and return ticket to. Plus is there more info I have to give like where and with whom I am staying. I know I dont need a visa because I am going less than 90 days. Please help because all websites say what you have to have but not where you are to show it. I want to make sure I have everything I need to see my man.

Generally speaking the immigration officer at the airport or seaport will ask you these questions.

Don't worry, it is simply a formality.

I'm sure marianne is right, but if you are still worried, why not phone the number given in http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1044.html

which is (202) 333-6900

Thx you so much. I am just nervous since it is my first trip to Belgium and my first time meeting his family. I figured I should meet his family before we get married instead of after. Is there anything else I should have other than the things I listed to give the immigration officer?
