We are traveling to Northern Norway in 2 weeks, starting from Tromso (Senja Island), drive up to North Cape and down to Kautokeino and end in Alta. It is our first time traveling to Norway. Actually we very much want to see the northern lights, but it seems that it is too late (the daylight is too long) and the chance is little...Besides, we would like to try dogsledding, reindeer sledding, and also experience the traditional food & people (Sami). Any other things we shouldn't miss? would appreciate to hear your advice. Thanks!!
Stay at one of many camp sites or rent a fishermen's cabin. Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel in Alta and Kirkenes SnowHotel are both made of snow and ice. Join a fisherman on the fjord or experience a king crab safari, get to know Sami culture, try dog sledging or go on a snowmobile safari.
