Sorry, can't help you there but contact Danni-he's number 1 on the member list. I'm sure he would be happy to help.

Thought I would put this is on just in case he is off on the road somewhere and dosen't see it.

Cheers,

Hi Jane!

I found some Catalan resources for you on the web:

http://www.gorin.com/phrase/catalan.html

http://www.travlang.com/languages/cgi-bin/langchoice.cgi?page=main&lang1=english&lang2=catalan

http://www.vivacostadaurada.com/html/phrases.html

The last one is the best, I think... it has all kinds of common words and phrases, in English, Catalan and Spanish, side by side. If I were you, I'd print it out and take it with me, and get some help from a native speaker regarding pronunciation.

Bravo to you for wanting to learn the native tongue!

Cheers,

Liz

Thank you Kerrie, Thank you Liz, Thank you Dani!!!

Liz,

I'll print a copy of the basic expression. I think I'll need to refer to them most of the time =)

The travlang link is especially useful with audio files ready.

Dani,

Yes, I'm going to Barcelona and I'm staying with my friend.

I was told in Barcelona, people usually speaks Catalan than Spanish. Hence, I think it'll be good to know a few words. ;) At least to know how to say thank you !! A little too late to remember all of them. The "R" is especially hard for me. Nonetheless, I'll try my best ^^

Moltíssimes gràcies once again ^^

Hi Jane!

Wellcome to Barcelona.

I hope you will enjoy your stay.

Is unusual that the travelers that come to Barcelona know something about our history, culture and lenguage that we have. ¿?

But I'm happy cause it seems that Catalunya is starting to have some good promotion outhere. ;)

Bye!

Dani!
