Dijon is culturally rich and has an extensive history. Olden-aged timber framed houses, some dating back to the 15th century, are still visible in the town centre. In some alleys you'll be taken back in time with the setting of these houses and the cobbled stone pavement. Take a morning stroll through the Les Halles market and pushcart areas. Make a wish and touch the 'chouette' (little owl) with your left hand. Dijon mustard is the famous specialty of the area, and you'll be left undecided about what to purchase, as this delicacy is available in a wide range of flavours. Visit the Beaux-Arts museum and also view buildings built in traditional Burgundian architecture, with tiled roofs and 'cabbage' motifs. [edit text][editors]
