La Taverne Paillette
There has been a tavern or restaurant on this site since 1596. This restaurant is usually very busy so, it is better to pre-book, but even if you have to wait at the bar, its worth it. They serve a nice selection of traditional Normandy food and drink including mussels and Choucroute Spéciale Paillette (which is cabbage, potatoes and meat). The portions are quite large so its best not to fill up with bread and leave room for the desert.... more
Hotel Le Petit Vatel
For a two star hotel, this was the best of the bunch that I viewed. It is family run and they are very pleasant people and very accomodating. Just up the road from Hotel Bordeaux (3*) but the rooms were much better. Very reasonably priced more
Sticky Fingers
This restaurant has two nice set menus, which offers an introduction to French cuisine and the prices are reasonable. It is centrally located and could be considered a bit rustic, but pleasant surroundings more
Tea For Two
This lovely little French cafe is located inside small mall. They serve the finest Artisan, Boulanger, chocolates and patisseries. They also serve crepes sweet or savoury, its wonderful. The perfect place to stop for a morning cofeee. more
Citotel Le Marly
This cost around 40 euros per night and the facilities were adequate for 3* hotel. There was a lift which could only hold one or two people in at time, which was a bit shocking. But the location is great, right in the heart of Le Havre. more
