Frankfurt am Main travel tips

Cocoon Club 
Awesome club - definitely up there with Zouk in Singapore/KL and Fabric in London. Only thing is be prepared to wait as they do that stupid line up thing even though it wasnt that full when we first got in. Dont worry though it fills up and the music is great. Music style is mainly Techno, House or Electro. Also, the lasers and the decor are pretty amazing in themselves, for example, the DJ booth is made in the shape of a UFO. There is also food for those who want however as can be expected this is expensive. Drinks are also on the pricy side. Best night to go is when Frankfurt have what they call Nacht der Club which is where you can get into a number of venues for only 10 euros. These nights do get busy though and the buses between venues (especially to Cocoon) will be packed more

Townhouse Hotel 
near mainstation, close to town and the river. convenient, central - booking necessary during trade fairs - friendly and helpful staff more

Wagner's 
cool restaurant and pub. great place for "appelwoi" - apple wine but beer too, food of the region, just a short walk from the river/ city center. dont be late! - Its a busy place! more

Cheapest flights all over Europe 
Most tourists arrive at Frankfurt airport. For further travels check the website below. The Hahn airport is about 80 km from Frankfurt connected by bus (every hour) starting from central train station and Frankfurt airport. more

Getting arround 
while staying in the area you might rent a car starting from (EUR 5) per day only - the station is in the city center not far from the youth hostal! The online rental belongs to one of the largest german companies. more

sorta kinda cheap hotel(cheapest I found) more
