Frankfurt am Main is located in the heart of Germany, even of Europe – world famous through one of the leading airports worldwide and a major trade fair place too.
On the other hand, the city is one of the small – big cities in the country, with fewer than 700,000 inhabitants.
Surrounded by the Taunus-Mountain-Region the weather is quite pleasant, compared to the area.
The city is host of the Fifa-worldcup 2006 – well prepared to welcome guests from all over the world.
Don’t mix it up with another city in Germany, which is also called “Frankfurt” but: “an-der-Oder” – near Berlin, right on the Polish border.
Frankfurt/ Main is worth visiting for a stop-over but also for a couple of days. [edit text][editors]
