Bad Berleburg is a small spa town in the South East of North Rhine Westphalia. It boasts a beautiful 16th century baroque castle, a picturesque town centre, many black and white half-timbered houses, a range of museums and plenty of good restaurants and cafés.

The new 154-km long hiking trail 'Rothaarsteig' passes close by, as does the cycle trail 'Eder Radweg', which accompanies the river from its spring to where it joins the river Fulda near Kassel. [edit text]  [editors]
